Port Credit Boat Show announces
the show dates for 2012 -August 24-26

The 21st Port Credit Boat Show was once again a huge success for both boat buyers and boat sellers!

Hosted by the Port Credit Harbour Marina and The Store, Mason's Chandlery from August 26-28 the show saw good crowds and great boat buying weather. There were over 100 boats exhibited in-the-water and on the hard and over ..

  and over 40 land displays.

‘The show was a resounding success, we were absolutely delighted’, stated Lori Mason, owner of The Store, Mason’s Chandlery. ‘From a quick survey, it’s clear that nearly 20% of the boats that were on display were sold either at the show or as a direct result of the show. And these were both new and used boats.’

Andre Ganton of Toronto Yacht Sales, who had 4 boats exhibited in the show stated: “It’s true what they say – The Port Credit Boat Show sells boats! We sold two on the second day - a 2003 Silverton 41 asking $230,000 and a Catalina 320 asking $75,000. The other two boats we brought are currently under offer, being sold to buyers who saw the vessels at the show. I’m planning to be back next year with more boats!”

The Canadian Hydrographic Services has attended the show for the past ten years. Representative, Fred Oliff stated that they get “great client connect opportunities of a kind not found at other shows!”

First time exhibitor, Chris Sellner of C.A.S. Power Marine was pleasantly surprised with the results of their first show. They sold a 2007 Doral 265 Bow Rider, with serious interest in another boat. ‘We will be expanding our display for next year’ stated Sellner.

Great Lakes Brewery, Toronto’s original craft brewery were a huge hit with both exhibitors and visitors with their featured beers Red Leaf, Crazy Canuck and the all time favourite Golden Horseshoe Premium Lager. Joining the Great Lakes Brewery marketing team in the refreshment tent were Chuck Jackson and the All-Stars. Chuck Jackson is the founder of the Port Credit South Side Shuffle.

The Speaker's Tent, a regular show feature, was packed to the rafters, featuring seminars from Wally Moran, Rob and Mary MacLeod, Katrina Lewis and Doug and Brenda Dawson. Newcomers Paul Svastal and Marnie Keith-Murray were well received with their great boating stories.

"We had a number of new exhibitors and new boats this year” stated Mason.  "We've got some great ideas for next year and looking forward to an even better show in 2012!"

The Port Credit In-Water Boat Show will be held August 24-26, 2012 at the Port Credit Harbour Marina.
